Went to the cafe. Lovely cream tea but slightly odd they weren't serving any savoury food when we went. Knocked a star off for that, otherwise excellent. Gorgeous location and good service

Best lemon sponge I've ever had. I do love a lemon dessert and my word I was not disappointed! Sponge was light with a delicate sugary lemon glaze, the lemon filling was lovely and tart and the fresh cream just balanced it beautifully. I actually didn't want to drink my coffee for fear of spoiling the flavours lingering in my mouth but when I did again, I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was delicious too. The staff were really lovely, there were plenty of dog bowls for dogs. They even brought a treat for him when they delivered our coffee and cake. A wonderful little gem and so close to some of the most spectacular views of the North Devon coastline. A wonderful experience.

Had a cream tea. What a find. Lovely homemade scone, clotted cream and very tasty cup of tea. Excellent value. Nice to see a sign in the garden, supports the National Trust. Definitely recommend.

Visited the tearoom after our walk. It was busy but we still found a table. Friendly, helpful staff, easy ordering and quick with out food order. They have to be the BEST scones we have ever tasted. The Clotted cream is homemade and you can tell too, delicious. Will definitely be returning. So glad we found this wonderful little gem. Other food looked delicious. Would have gone back if we were staying in the area longer

We always pop in whenever we are visiting the area. It's lovely sitting outside with a delicious cream tea. I like to tease by splitting the scone and doing the first half jam first, the reactions are quite amusing. But then I do the second half cream first and everyone looks happy again. finally I stick the two halves together, so from top to bottom it's cream, jam, cream, jam. The scones are always warm and fresh and reasonabley priced for what you get.
